FAQ: The most frequently asked questions about playfit®
Why doesn’t playfit® have a store on its website?
Our outdoor fitness equipment is not a “catalog product”. Setting up a well-functioning exercise course that is suitable for your needs requires planning and advice in advance, which we as the manufacturer are of course happy to provide free of charge.
Why is playfit® outdoor sports equipment made of stainless steel?
Stainless steel stands for aesthetics and is particularly suitable for outdoor constructions: it is weather and corrosion resistant, durable, has a pleasant feel and a hygienic surface. Willful surface damage caused by scratches and graffiti can be easily removed. Signs of wear and tear are ruled out altogether.
Stainless steel guarantees long-term cost-effectiveness.
Are there regional dealers or representatives for playfit® outdoor fitness equipment in Germany?
As a rule, our playfit® team provides advice on fitness equipment in advance. We are also happy to arrange on-site consultation appointments. This allows you to benefit from our practical experience from more than 4,000 projects throughout Germany for your planning.
Why does playfit® offer a 10-year guarantee?
We consider this period to be very reasonable and well-founded. The service life of playfit® outdoor sports equipment is of course longer (at least 20 years). It is important for you that any complaints that may arise during the warranty period are dealt with quickly, fairly and in an accommodating manner, regardless of the various equipment components and materials. Wear and tear and vandalism damage are understandably not covered by the warranty.
Who installs the playfit® outdoor training equipment?
The installation of playfit® outdoor sports equipment is simple: comparable to the installation of an uncomplicated piece of children’s playground equipment. Most playfit® outdoor training equipment is delivered completely pre-assembled, so that all that needs to be done on site is setting it in concrete on the basis of our foundation plans. This task is carried out either by the municipal building yard or a regional gardening and landscaping company. If you need help, we will be happy to assist you. Incidentally, we do not supply prefabricated foundations with our outdoor fitness equipment because we believe it is more complicated to handle and of course involves higher transportation costs.
Do signs have to be put up at the playfit® fitness equipment park?
In accordance with DIN EN 16630:2015, a clearly recognizable location sign with safety instructions, exercise instructions and contact options for the operator must be attached to facilities with outdoor fitness equipment.
A type plate with instructions for use and safety information is permanently installed on every piece of playfit® outdoor sports equipment. On request, we also offer individual signs with training instructions for each piece of playfit® equipment.
What safety standards does outdoor sports equipment from playfit® meet?
All playfit® equipment is tested, approved and certified by TÜV Süd in accordance with DIN EN 16630:2015 for outdoor fitness equipment. In addition, all playfit® equipment bears the GS mark for “Tested Safety”, i.e. equipment and production are regularly tested and certified by TÜV Süd in accordance with §20 of the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG). This annual inspection / monitoring of production is a guarantee of consistent quality and therefore safety.
Does the playfit® outdoor fitness equipment require maintenance?
As part of its road safety obligations, the operator of a fitness equipment facility is responsible for the safe use of outdoor fitness equipment. Just as for children’s playground equipment, the regular inspection of outdoor sports equipment is regulated in the DIN EN ISO 16630 safety standard. Our playfit® operating instructions provide you with sufficient information and a clear checklist for documenting inspections.
Does playfit® offer advice?
We will be happy to advise you on all your questions:
- Would you like to reach a specific target group with outdoor training equipment? We would be happy to advise you on the right choice of equipment for your preferred user group.
- Would you like to build a fitness park – but your financial budget is very limited? We will be happy to advise you on suitable funding options or, if necessary, offer you payment in installments.

We don’t have a store or a fleet of equipment at our company headquarters. However, there are now over 4000 playfit® locations throughout Germany. There is sure to be one near you!
