OUTDOOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS FOR EVERYONE
As a sonorous addition to a playfit parcours®, playfit® now offers unique outdoor musical instruments for children and adults of all ages who enjoy making music. The percussion play instruments enrich any outdoor area – they create a creative quality of stay for retirement homes, clinics or school playgrounds.
We are convinced that everyone should have the opportunity to try out musical instruments for themselves and discover the joy of making music. The Percussion Play instruments create a wonderful creative atmosphere by awakening the ‘inner child’ and providing a lot of fun.
The robust outdoor musical instruments are constructed from durable materials for a long service life and are designed to withstand even extreme natural influences.
BABEL DRUMS
Small: C major pentatronic C4-C5
Large: G major pentatonic G3-B4
Babel Drums are circular fork drums made of stainless steel that can be used to create beautiful melodies with amazingly long-lasting sounds. No drumming experience is required to create enchanting and gentle sounds: a unique hand drum experience!
BELL LYRE
8 bells – 8 sounds
Each of the eight bells produces its own sound: from the sweet and gentle tones of the upper bells to the deep and sonorous, ‘gong-like’ sounds of the lower bells. The depth of sound varies from very soft to very strong, depending on how hard the bells are struck. Two red ‘clappers’ are included for playing.
DUO
C major pentatonic C4-C5
The ‘Duo’ is a distinctive instrument that is accessible from both sides and can therefore be played by up to 4 people at the same time. The instrument is tuned according to the pentatonic scale. The left and right sides are arranged as mirror images with a C major scale that extends over 2 octaves (from C4 to C5).
The individual bars of the ‘Duo’ can be supplied in aluminium, IPE or glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP). Each of these materials produces a unique sound when played.
HARMONY
C major pentatonic C5-C7
This instrument is modelled on a traditional Vietnamese bamboo xylophone, the T’rung. With a captivating sound and breathtaking resonance, it is ideal for improvisation. The notes are harmonically arranged in a pentatonic scale in C major to create a cheerful sound.
TEMBOS
C major pentatonic C3-C4
The original, amazing tembos, which produce a great sound, are always an exciting and fascinating instrument that everyone can enjoy. The rather funky, resonant sound is produced by simply striking the mallet, which continues as a vibration through the tube.
TUBULAR BELLS
Set of 7 tubular bells, pentatonic in C major (A3-C5)
A visual experience and a sonic delight for all ages: these tubes with their unrivalled resonance produce a deep sound that you will feel and hear. Both simple and impressive, this outdoor chime is both an architectural addition and an amazing sound experience!
