Outdoor press-ups and leg lifts are basically suitable for anyone who wants to strengthen their muscles.
Beginners can try out the leg lift and push-up combination trainer and athletes can carry out a challenging and targeted strength training program.
This piece of sports equipment is a must for strength-orientated fitness areas. It is also an excellent addition installed next to calisthenics equipment.

Warming up

Before you start training, you are advised to do a warm-up to prepare your body for the workout ahead. Improved blood circulation can enhance your performance and prevent injuries. playfit® endurance equipment such as the playfit® Elliptical or the playfit® Ski Walker, are suitable for warm-ups.

Leglift

  • Support yourself with your back against the rear plate, placing your forearms on the armrests.
  • Alternately, pull one knee towards your upper body and lower it again.
  • Experienced users pull up both knees at the same time.
  • For an extra-special challenge: while holding the support position, stretch out your legs and lift them up in front of you until they are horizontal.

Press-ups

Choose a start position along the handrails, grasp them firmly with your hands, keeping your body stretched-out and start doing push-ups, at the same time keeping your body straight. If you find this too difficult, bend your knees slightly. Choose a start position (easier towards the top end of the handrails, more difficult towards the bottom) where physical exertion is needed. The lower the support position, the greater the effort required. Make sure to keep your back is straight throughout the entire exercise and keep your abdominal muscles slightly tensed. If you find this exercise too difficult, bend your knees slightly.

Recommendation

Vary the elbow position – this will change the muscle groups addressed and the intensity of the exercise.

Advice for increasing training frequency

  • To achieve a noticeable training effect, we recommend 2 – 3 training sessions on both the leg lift and push-up sides of this equipment.
  • The number of repetitions per cycle should be gradually increased from 5 to around 15 repetitions.

FAQs

Does the leglift push-up combination trainer have a maximum user weight?

The maximum person weight for the playfit® Leglift and Press-Up Twin-Trainer is 150 kg per user. Two persons can train on this fitness equipment at the same time.

How often should the leglift/press-up combination trainer be used to maximise training success?

Here too, regular training leads to noticeable training effects.
This piece of equipment is quite versatile, i.e. different muscle groups are addressed when doing outdoor leg lifts and push-ups, but there should still be long enough regeneration phases between individual workouts.
To allow the body to regenerate and the muscles to develop, breaks of 48 hours are recommended between individual workouts.

Is the equipment suitable for beginners?

In principle, all playfit® equipment is also suitable for beginners.
On the press-up side, you can choose the level of difficulty of the exercise yourself by depending on the start position (easier at the top, more difficult at the bottom). However, the leg lift exercise can be a challenge for beginners. The playfit® training program shows different training examples (basic, medium, advanced).
